London Calling....

It is surreal to think that it is already time to pack our bags (with very little) and head off to London in less than a week. Although our visit there will be for several weeks it will be hectic on all levels, weddings, cousins flying in from different corners of the world, a fleeting visit to the grandparents in Lebanon, and of course packing up and shipping all our belongings to our new home here in South Africa.

It seems like such a long time since I first sat down to start this blog. What a blubbering homesick wreck I was. Now I find myself quietly wishing we had moved here earlier (Sam wont believe me as he thinks I have complained a lot but it is hard for a man to understand a woman's impatience at not having her belongings all in place in their own home - Men are from Mars and all that, you hear me sisters, dont you!)

It is funny that I can no longer see myself living in London now that we have been exposed to a new lifestyle here. Don't wish to make you green with envy but there really is something that is good for the soul when you live on the beach, whether the sun shines or the storms are erupting in the balck skies ahead (the lighting storms are spectacluar) . I will always love London, all my loved ones are there and we cannot wait to see you all and badger you senseless to book your tickets and come here. It will be the best trip you ever made!

Laith is settled into creche and secretly thinks Christine is is surrogate mother (he is a boob man folks and I cannot compete with hers). The workouts have stopped abruptly for me for medical reasons which is frustrating as I was finally hitting a size 12 and going everyday was becoming my new fix. Am hoping cousin Negs will motivate me to carry on when we get to London. Spinning classes await!

The oranges and grapefruits are in the kitchen which means one thing, my father-in-law has arrived. I cannot tell you what a wonderful energy this man has. He is amazing with Laith and with us, it is so nice to have him home so I have cooked him a chicken curry and will be baking tomorrow!
So my friends we are off home, many of you we will see there and hug you so hard you might just burst. To those of you I am not fortunate to live within very close proximity I ask you to start arranging a playdate (with me not Laith), and by that I mean the following:
Konyils, Wiseman, Shema, Shaun, Buxton, Richard Thomas to name but a few!

Until next week x
